“The same assistant has been coming to me for over a year now, and we have found a shared rhythm in everyday life. We go shopping together, cook and go outdoors regularly. It is important that I can trust my assistant and that she knows my ways and habits,” says Martta, 82, who has used Monihoiva’s services since 2023.

Our assistant Liisa stresses how important it is to build a trusting and respectful relationship with clients. “Every day is different, and that is exactly what makes my work meaningful. It is wonderful to see how even small things can bring joy to everyday life.”

Martta continues: “Liisa is easy to be with. She listens to my wishes and knows how to read situations. Sometimes we chat for a long time over a cup of coffee, sometimes we focus on doing things together. It feels safe to know that help is close by.”
